Based on the hit film and real events, Catch Me If You Can was created by a Tony-winning dream team, with a book by Terrence McNally (Ragtime, The Full Monty) and a swinging score by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman (Hairspray). It’s a nostalgic wink at the 1960s, wrapped up in snappy dialogue and slick choreography that makes the story fly. At the center of it all is Frank Jr., a young runaway with charm to spare and no plans to follow the rules. He hops from job to job - pilot, doctor, lawyer - all on forged credentials and pure confidence. But every great con artist needs a pursuer, and for Frank, that’s Carl Hanratty, the determined FBI agent who makes it his mission to catch the kid who’s always one step ahead.
