The sensuous rhythms of Latin dance and jazz fill this light and lively chamber orchestra program. Your evening begins with a curious and playful tone poem by Adam Schoenberg, KCS composer-in-residence, followed by Bernstein’s jazzy Riffs featuring Raymond Santos, KC Symphony principal clarinet. Saint-Saëns' La muse et le poète for violin, cello, and orchestra will feature Concertmaster Noah Geller and principal cellist Mark Gibbs. Then, Spanish dance inspires Ravel’s most famous composition, Boléro.
