Theater Manager

Small Professional Theater in its eleventh season seeks qualified individual to assume the position of Theater Manager. The theater has recently relocated to a new location in Maryland Hall, the performing arts center of Annapolis. Must have both artistic and business experience and be able to perform a wide range of duties from day to day administrative tasks, as well as artistic activities including play direction, handling auditions, publicity, social media, box office, collaborating with our board of directors, and hiring staff. A passion for live theater is required to render inspired leadership for the community of Annapolis and beyond. Organization, teamwork, flexibility, attention to detail, and working well under pressure are necessary skills to perform this job. Theater manager must be a champion of the theater's mission of diversity and inclusion. Our productions are plays of superb quality and richness; plays which not only entertain, but offer a theater experience which lifts us up and transcends the ordinary, leaving the audience with a better understanding of the world and themselves .
