Studio Tenn is seeking a full-time Operations Manager to join our Leadership Team in Franklin, Tennessee.
This position will help strengthen the administrative, financial and organizational systems behind our productions, programs and community work. We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes and helping people work effectively together—creating structure without unnecessary bureaucracy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate financial workflows, including budget tracking, accounts payable documentation, expense coding and follow-up, in partnership with the Controller, who retains responsibility for accounting and payment processing.
- Improve administrative systems, workflows and standard operating procedures to strengthen efficiency, accountability and follow-through.
- Coordinate employee onboarding, personnel records, leave tracking, benefits administration and open enrollment, working with the Executive Director and professional HR resources.
- Support payroll administration and coordinate artist and organizational contracts, including documentation, approvals and follow-through.
- Coordinate cross-department projects, facilities, vendors and organizational records.
- Supervise a part-time Administrative Assistant and strengthen administrative support across the company.
- Work closely with the Production Manager as a complementary partner—Operations leading company-wide administrative, financial and systems infrastructure while Production leads the planning, administration and execution of productions and programming. QUALIFICATIONS
We seek an operations professional with financial aptitude, sound judgment, initiative and follow-through, experience improving workflows and managing multiple priorities, and strong communication and technology skills. Knowledge of artist contracting and theatrical unions is a plus. Experience in arts or nonprofit organizations is welcome but not required. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Annual salary: $55,000–$65,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience, plus an annual performance bonus opportunity of up to 5%. Studio Tenn offers medical, dental and vision insurance, covering 80% of the employee premium; paid time off beginning at 10 days annually and increasing with tenure; five paid sick days; paid company holidays; an additional paid year-end office closure; and complimentary and discounted access to Studio Tenn productions and programs. This is a primarily in-person position in Franklin, with occasional evening or weekend work and reasonable schedule flexibility based on organizational needs. ABOUT STUDIO TENN
Studio Tenn is a professional theatre company and the resident theatre company of the Turner Theater at The Factory at Franklin. With new executive leadership and a growing audience, we're investing in the people, relationships and systems that will strengthen our organization and expand our artistic and community impact.
