New National Theatre, Tokyo has revealed a casting change for Die Fledermaus. For the performances on 9, 10 and 12 December, Hatakeyama Shigeru is going to perform the role of Frank, replacing Henry Waddington.

KUNI RX: In 2018, 2022, and 2023, KUNI RX captivated audiences from over the world with acrobatic martial arts performances as the main character in 'AquaTheater' aboard one of the world's largest luxury cruise ships, Royal Caribbean International's 'Symphony of the Seas' which sails the Caribbean and European countries. Combining various acrobatics such as rhythmic gymnastics and martial arts, he has been active in stage live performances, movies, motion capture, and as an acrobatics instructor both domestically and internationally. His notable works include “WaterWorld' at Universal Studios Japan, a stunt double for “KAMEN RIDER WIZARD,' Hollywood movie 'Blade of the 47 Ronin,' and the motion capture for 'Demon Slayer.' Currently, KUNI RX is dedicated to strive to spread Japanese traditional entertainment worldwide by his unique style, blending with Japanese culture “Ninja” and his 26 years of experience.

​​​​​​​Ryo Nishikido: Debuted in the music scene in 2000, Ryo and his group have performed in over 100 dome concerts. In 2019, he embarked on his solo career and established his label, 'NOMAD RECORDS.' His first album, 'NOMAD,' for which he handled all the songwriting and composition, debuted at the top of the Oricon Weekly Album Chart. He has also taken on leading roles in numerous dramas and movies. In 2023, he appeared in the TBS-produced Netflix series 'Let's Get a Divorce”(離婚しようよ) and NHK BS's 'Kazoku dakara ai shitan janakute aishita no ga kazoku datta,”(家族だから愛したんじゃなくて愛したのが家族だった) and on March 1st in 2024, a Japan-UK collaborative film titled 'Cottontail' is scheduled for nationwide release over the nation. Furthermore, from October 23rd, he kicked off his 6th solo live tour, 'FANCLUB LIVE 2023 'Untitled',' starting in Yokohama and spanning 6 cities with 10 performances. In this article, we'll be covering the Osaka live performance held on the eve of Ryo’s 39th birthday (November 2).

錦戸亮：2000年CDデビュー。グループではドーム公演を100公演以上行い、2019年よりソロ活動開始、主宰レーベル「NOMAD RECORDS」を設立した。全ての作詞・作曲を手掛けた1stアルバム『NOMAD』は、オリコン週間アルバムチャート初登場1位を獲得。数々のドラマや映画では主演も務め、2023年にTBS制作Netflixシリーズドラマ「離婚しようよ」、NHKBS「家族だから愛したんじゃなくて愛したのが家族だった」に出演、2024年3月1日には日英合作映画「コットンテール」が全国で上映予定。また、10月23日より横浜を皮切りに6回目のソロライブツアー「FANCLUB LIVE 2023 ”Untitled”」が、全国6都市10公演で開催中。こちらでは錦戸氏39歳誕生日前夜（11月2日）に行われた大阪ライブの様子をお届けする。

Bishonen: Ryuga Sato, Taisho Iwasaki, Hidaka Ukisho, Yuto Nasu, Issei Kanasashi, Naoki Fujii - a group of six with an average age of 20, formed in 2017 with current members. In the past, they had also appeared in the stage production “SHONENTACHI' and achieved their first solo lead role in “SHONENTACHI 2023: Through The Darkness” (Click here to see Review: 'SHONENTACHI' 2023) in October of this year. SHONENTACHI has been continuously evolving since its first run in 1969 and remains connected to the present day. Despite being pre-debut, Bishonen has engaged in various activities, including stage performances, commercials, dramas, and variety shows, gaining attention as a rising young group. Notably, Yuto appears on 'Ah, Minna no Doubutsuen（嗚呼!!みんなの動物園）” on NTV, Hidaka joined the main cast of 'Gifted （ギフテッド）Season 1 & 2” on WOWOW and Tokai TV, Taisho and Yuto appear on, 'Cho Tayosei Talk Show! Naresome（超多様性トークショー!なれそめ）” on NHK General, and NHK Radio 1’s 'Radirer! Saturday' features rotating members every week. Additionally, they are set to perform in a spring production at the Imperial Theatre supervised by Koichi Domoto.

美 少年：佐藤龍我、岩﨑大昇、浮所飛貴、那須雄登、金指一世、藤井直樹の平均年齢20歳の６名で2017年に現在のグループの形になった。過去にも出演していた舞台「少年たち」では、今年10月に初の単独主演を果たした（参照 公演レポート：「少年たち」 闇を突き抜けて）。「少年たち」は1969年の初演以来、進化を遂げながら現在まで繋がれ続けている。美 少年はデビュー前にも関わらず、舞台、CM、ドラマ、バラエティーとその活動は多岐に渡り、今注目の若手グループ。レギュラーでは日本テレビ系「嗚呼!!みんなの動物園」に那須氏が、WOWOW×東海テレビ「ギフテッド Season2」に浮所氏が出演している。また、NHK総合「超多様性トークショー!なれそめ」に岩﨑氏と那須氏が、NHKラジオ第1「らじらー！サタデー」に週替わりでメンバーが出演中。来年春には、堂本光一氏がスーパーヴァイザーを務める帝国劇場での公演への出演も決まっている。

Disney on CLASSIC: A musical event where New York-based vocalists and an orchestra perform Disney's iconic songs from animated films, movies, and theme parks. This year's theme is 'With You.' The event features the animated film 'Beauty and the Beast,'presenting the story of 'true love' that blossoms between the beautiful Belle and the Beast, including songs like “Beauty and the Beast,” 'Be Our Guest,' 'Gaston,' and 'Something There,' accompanied by video projections and lighting effects. The concert is divided into two parts, with the first part celebrating Disney's 100th anniversary.

ディズニー・オン・クラシック：ディズニー・アニメーションや映画、テーマパークの音楽を、ニューヨークで活躍するヴォーカリストとオーケストラの生演奏で贈る音楽会。今年のテーマは「With You ～愛を奏でる」。アニメーション映画『美女と野獣』を8年ぶりにフィーチャーし、「美女と野獣」をはじめ、「ひとりぼっちの晩餐会」、「強いぞガストン」、「愛の芽生え」など、美しい娘ベルと醜い姿の野獣の間に芽生えた“真実の愛”の物語を、スクリーンの映像と照明演出と共に届ける。第1部のディズニー創立100周年を祝う特別プログラムとの二部構成。

岩本照：10月4日に開幕した美 少年主演の舞台「『少年たち』 闇を突き抜けて」（参照 公演レポート：「少年たち」 闇を突き抜けて）では、単独で初めて舞台の構成・演出・振付を担当。過去の舞台「少年たち」シリーズや、2019年に映画化された同作にも出演した。「少年たち」は1969年の初演以来、進化を遂げながら現在まで繋がれ続けている。岩本氏は2020年にデビューしたSnow Manのリーダーで、音楽活動をはじめ、舞台、バラエティ番組、YouTube、映画や雑誌など、多岐に渡り活躍中。主な代表作はミュージカル「キャッチ・ミー・イフ・ユー・キャン」（2022年）、映画「モエカレはオレンジ色」（2002年）、「映画おそ松さん」（2022年）など。また、Snow Manのレギュラー番組として毎週金曜TBS系「それSnow Manにやらせて下さい」、毎週木曜文化放送「Snow Manの素のまんま」に出演中。フィットネス系雑誌「Tarzan」では、2018年より『筋肉吟遊詩人・岩本照 裏切りの筋トレ・メソッド』を連載している。

​​​​​​​Hikaru Iwamoto: In the stage production 'SHONENTACHI 2023: Through The Darkness,' (Click here to see Review: SHONENTACHI 2023: THROUGH THE DARKNESS) which opened on October 4th with the lead role played by the members of Bishonen, Hikaru took on the sole responsibility for the stage's composition, direction, and choreography for his first time. He also appeared in the previous stage productions of the 'SHONENTACHI' series and its 2019 film adaptation. 'SHONENTACHI' has been evolving and continuing to the present day since its first performance in 1969. Hikaru, who debuted in 2020 as the leader of Snow Man, is active in various fields, including music, stage performances, variety shows, YouTube, films, and magazines. Some of his notable works cover the musical 'Catch Me If You Can' (2022), the film 'My Boyfriend in Orange' (2002), and 'Osomatsu-san' (2022). Additionally, he and his fellow group members appear on the TBS show 'Sore Snow Man ni Yarasete Kudasai（それSnow Manにやらせて下さい）' every Friday and on the 'Snow Man no Su no Manma（Snow Manの素のまんま）' show on Nippon Cultural Broadcasting every Thursday. In the fitness magazine 'Tarzan,' he has been serializing 'Muscle Bard Hikaru Iwamoto’s Betrayal Work Out Method（筋肉吟遊詩人・岩本照 裏切りの筋トレ・メソッド）” since 2018.

Disney Music & Fireworks: The first-ever entertainment in Japan that synchronizes Disney's classic songs with fireworks. Celebrating Disney's 100th anniversary this year, this dynamic fireworks festival featuring Disney's music is being held nationwide. It has already taken place in Hiroshima, Yamanashi, Ibaraki, Yamaguchi, and Osaka, with upcoming for November 18 in Miyazaki and December 9 in Okinawa.

ジョアンは、2017年より東京で舞台監督および俳優として活動しており、東京インターナショナルプレイヤーズ(TIP)では「セチュワンの善人」「チキチキ・バンバン」「春のめざめ」などに携わってきた。現在は、TIPの広報部長としても活躍している。

ジョン・ライマーは、東京インターナショナルプレイヤーズ（TIP）の「I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change」の演出家です。彼は清泉インターナショナルスクールで演劇の教師をしており、その仕事を愛しています。ジョンは劇場と演劇の博士号を持ち、演出の修士号も取得しています。彼の学術研究の関心は、伝統的で現代的な日本の演劇、アクティブリスニングを中心とした西洋の演技技術、異文化間の演劇です。特に、異文化と文化内で交わりながら進化した日本の劇場と、それらが国際的な視点の中でどれほど関連しているかに興味を持っています。これはジョンの日本での2度目の生活で、戻れたことを嬉しく思っています。

ディズニー ミュージック & ファイヤーワークス：ディズニーの名曲の数々と花火がシンクロした、日本初のエンターテイメント。今年100周年を迎えるディズニーの音楽と、ダイナミックな花火の祭典が全国で開催中。既に広島、山梨、茨城、山口、大阪で開かれ、11月18日に宮崎、12月9日には沖縄で開催予定。 

Jon Reimer is the director of Tokyo International Players (TIP)’s production of I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change. He is the Drama Teacher at Seisen International School, a job which he adores. Jon has a doctorate from the Joint Ph.D. program in Theatre and Drama, and an M.F.A. in Directing. His academic research interests include traditional and modern Japanese performance, western acting techniques focused around active listening, and cross-cultural theatre. He is specifically interested in inter- and intra-culturalized Japanese theatre and their relevance amongst international perspectives. This is Jon’s second time living in Japan and he is happy to be back.

Joan has been a stage manager and actor in Tokyo since 2017. Her involvement in Tokyo International Players(TIP) productions includes THE GOOD PERSON OF SZECHUAN, CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG, and SPRING AWAKENING. Joan is also currently the publicity committee chair of Tokyo International Players.

​​​​​​​Jesse: The musical 'BEETLEJUICE,' (Click here to see Review: BEETLEJUICE) in which he is starring this time, is a musical based on film works by director Tim Burton. It premiered on Broadway in 2019, was performed in South Korea in 2021, started a North American tour in 2022, and is currently being staged in Japan as of 2023. Jesse is a member of SixTONES, making his debut in 2020. His activities span a wide range, including music, variety shows, YouTube, TV series, and movies. Some of his notable works include the film “Sing 2' (2022) (voice over), 'TOKYO MER'(2022), and the TV series “Saisho wa Paa' (2022). Additionally, he and his fellow group members appears on NHK Educational TV's 'Value no Shinjitsu' every Tuesday, TBS's “Lie or Truth' every Friday, and “SixTONES’ All Night Nippon Saturday Special' every Saturday.

ジェシー：今回主演を務めるミュージカル「ビートルジュース」（参照 公演レポート: ビートルジュース）は、ティム・バートン監督の映画作品を原作としたミュージカル作品。 2019年にブロードウェイ、2021年に韓国、2022年からは北米ツアー、そして2023年夏に日本で上演された。ジェシー氏は2020年にデビューしたSixTONESのメンバーで、音楽活動をはじめ、バラエティ番組、YouTube、ドラマや映画など、その活動は多岐にわたる。主な代表作は映画「SING /シング：ネクストステージ」（2022年）（声の出演）、「劇場版TOKYO MER～走る緊急救命室～」（2023年）、ドラマ「最初はパー」（2022年）など。また、毎週火曜NHK Eテレ「バリューの真実」、毎週金曜TBS系「オオカミ少年」、毎週土曜「SixTONESのオールナイトニッポンサタデースペシャル」にSixTONESのメンバーと共に出演中。

Stage play “Shonentachi”: Since its debut in 1969, 'Shonen-tachi' has evolved and continued as a series. Kis-My-Ft2, A.B.C-Z, Johnny's WEST, SixTONES, Snow Man, and other Johnnys' Jr. talents have also appeared before their CD debut. It's considered a stepping stone for young talents, and in 2019, it was adapted into its first movie. This year, Bishonen takes their solo lead, Hiroki Uchi also appears, and Hikaru Iwamoto (Snow Man) takes on the role of director, choreographer, and stage composition alone for his first time. It's a refreshing stage that portrays the conflicts of these boys, along with the friendships that lies ahead.

舞台『少年たち』：1969年の初演以来、進化を遂げ『少年たち』シリーズとして繋がれてきた。 Kis-My-Ft2、A.B.C-Z、ジャニーズ WEST、 SixTONES、Snow Manらもジャニーズ Jr.時代に出演。“若手の登竜門”的存在で、 2019年には初の映画化された。今年は美 少年が単独主演、内博貴が出演し、岩本照（Snow Man）が単独で初めて舞台の構成・演出・振付を手掛ける。少年たちの葛藤や衝突、その先にある友情や愛を描いた清新な舞台。 

 Hatsudai Art Loft's new exhibition 'A Fantastical World of Creatures and Plants' is on display in the National Theatre Tokyo's open space from October 2023 to late February 2024.

The world-renowned circus entertainment group, Cirque du Soleil, presents their legendary show 'ALEGRíA,' which is an all-time Cirque du Soleil classic reimagined for a new generation to fall in love with. With flying trapezes, the  fire knife dance, aerials, their true ability’s acrobats, and more, this show step towards resuming international performances after the pandemic.
