Antigone: Unmasked at Betsy Lovett Hall, Church of the Good Shepherd

A new adaptation of Sophocles' classic tragedy, written and directed by Lumen Rep's producing artistic director, Brian Niece. A woman defies the law of the state to bury her brother while a leader mistakes order for justice, watched by a chorus of citizens who never quite look away. The production is staged across three distinct spaces—an elevated platform of power, a threshold ramp of negotiation, and a circle of truth—inviting the audience to sit inside the story as citizens of the country. It is the final production of Lumen Rep's 2026 season, Challenging, and the company's fifth original production in four years.
