Jackson, Mississippi's New Stage Theatre has announced its upcoming shows for the 2010 season. Horton Foote's southern play DIVIDING THE ESTATE will play from April 13-25 with SchoolFest matinees on April 15 and 22nd at 10 a.m.

DIVIDING THE ESTATE tells the story of Matriarch StElla Gordon who is determined not to divide her 100-year old Texas estate, despite her family's declining wealth and the looming financial crisis. But her three children have another plan. Old resentments and sibling rivalries surface, as the members of this hilariously dysfunctional family go head to head to see who might claim the biggest piece of the pie.

From May 26-June 6 BREAKING UP IS HARD TO DO, featuring the music of Neil Sedaka, will play at the New Stage Theatre.

Set at a Catskills resort in 1960, this is the comic story of Lois and Marge, two friends from Brooklyn in search of good times and romance over one wild Labor Day weekend. The songs, the costumes and the sensibility of the characters exude the essence of those simpler days and create instant nostalgia for the Baby Boomers, while the younger set can relate to the universal themes of teenage crushes and breakups. The score showcases 18 Neil Sedaka classics including "Where the Boys Are," "Sweet Sixteen," "Calendar Girl," and the chart-topping "Breaking Up is Hard to Do."

Next is A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD based on the book of Arnold Lobel with book and lyrics by Willie Reale. Music for the show is written by Robert Reale.

A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD will play with SchoolFest matinees on February 24-26, March 2-5, and March 9-12 at 10 a.m. The public performances will be on February 26, March 6, 7, 13, and 14 at 2 pm and March 5 at 7 pm.
