Center Stage Jackson is thrilled to present its summer Main Stage Musical, Shrek the Musical. This family-friendly musical will run June 9, 10, 16, and 17 at 7:30pm, with Sunday matinees June 11 and 18 at 3:00pm at Jackson College's Potter Center, 2111 Emmons Rd. Jackson, MI 49201.

"Once upon a time, there was a little ogre named Shrek...." And thus begins the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. Throw in a short-tempered bad guy, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you've got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there's one on hand... and his name is Shrek.

Shrek the Musical's Artistic Staff include Bruce W. Crews (Artistic Director), Edward Burkhead (Asst. Director), Jon Yuhasz-Pratt (Vocal Director), Samantha Baldwin (Choreography), Michael Mason (Orchestra Director), and Ellen Yoakam (Costumes).

The cast includes David Trippett (Shrek), Nickolas Brown (Donkey), Kelly Fandrey (Princess Fiona), Brian Ketner (Lord Farquaad), Brynn Arnall (Dragon), Matthew McDonald (Pinocchio), Veronica Long (Gingy), Victoria Morris (Young Fiona), Emma Maki (Teen Fiona), and over fifty fairy tale creatures!

Tickets are $16 for Children (ages 12 and under) and $22 for Adults (ages 13 and up). Groups of ten or more can purchase tickets at a discounted rate of $16 per person online, over the phone, or at the door.

Tickets can be purchased at the door with credit/debit/cash, online at www.CenterStageJackson.org, or over the phone by calling (517) 539-4118. Online and phone sales will end 2 hours prior to curtain time, at which point tickets will be available at the door only.
