Sultry and seductive, Opera Theatre Company’s Carmen will mesmerise both young and old alike, with its instantly recognisable and irresistible score. Irish mezzo-soprano Imelda Drumm plays the bewitching temptress in this riveting tale of lust, obsession and betrayal.
Following on the success of Così fan tutte and Orfeo, OTC, Ireland’s National touring opera company is delighted to return to the Civic Theatre with Bizet’s timeless masterpiece. Sung in English, with David Brophy conducting the thirteen piece OTC ensemble, Carmen is directed by Gavin Quinn with design by Aedín Cosgrove.
