0800-CUPID is a genre-defying queer musical theatre work written, composed, and performed by Emer Dineen, directed by Phillip McMahon, and produced by THISISPOPBABY. The show draws on a surreal year in Dineen's own life, weaving together her father's dementia diagnosis, a Tourette's diagnosis, her nightlife alter ego 'Cupid', and the loss of her call-centre job against the backdrop of London's club scene. Featuring a live band with Tom Beech, Michael McCarthy, and Osazee Aiguokhian, alongside cast members Isabel Adomakoh Young and Carl Harrison, the show transforms the stage into an avant-garde nightclub-meets-concert experience. Originally hailed as a standout hit at the 2024 festival circuit, the production subsequently transferred to Soho Theatre, London, to critical and audience acclaim.
