Come From Away, the Tony Award-winning musical with book, music, and lyrics by Irene Sankoff and David Hein, tells the true story of Gander, Newfoundland, where 38 planes were grounded on September 11, 2001, doubling the town's population overnight. Rather than panic, the locals opened their homes and hearts to thousands of stranded travelers, bridging culture clashes and language barriers with compassion. Directed by Roger DeLaurier with music direction by Paul Marszalkowski and choreography by Molly Dobbs, the production features a cast including Kitty Balay, Karole Foreman, René Millán, Erik Stein, Andrew Philpot, and others. The show runs April 23 through May 10 at the Marian Theatre in Santa Maria.
