H Place at The MATCH

 DINA HARMONY, early 40s, finally convinces her aging, ailing father, ISAAC HARMONY, patriarch of the Harmony Clan, and owner of the small, but successful community empire, H Place, to retire. After years of long hours at the Diner, the center of H Place activity, sweating over his famous Big Ike Special and po'kchop sandwiches, and managing the shenanigans of his grandsons and community characters that  frequent the beloved community institution, Big Ike, nor Dina herself, would never have imagined that what was to be a peaceful transition of power from one generation to the next could go so horribly wrong.

The award-winning stage play with music, written, produced, and directed by Norma Jo Thomas, "H Place", is presented in cooperation with Houston's first, biennial Fade to Black Arts Festival at the MATCH (Matchbox #4), June 10th, 7:30pm. "H Place" is funded, in part, by a grant from the City of Houston through the Houston Arts Alliance.
