TUTS to Stage Regional Premiere of THE WORLD ACCORDING TO SNOOPY

Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) brings you the regional premiere of THE WORLD ACCORDING TO SNOOPY!

THE WORLD ACCORDING TO SNOOPY is presented by Texas State Department of Theatre and Dance-Harrison/Bowman New Works Commission in association with Theatre Under The Stars and TUTS Humphreys School of Musical Theatre. THE WORLD ACCORDING TO SNOOPY is a brand new re-imagining of the musical Snoopy!!! (Larry Grossman (music), Hal Hackady (lyrics), and book by Charles M Schulz Creative Associates, Warren Lockhart, Arthur Whitelaw, Michael L. Grace).

This musical features Charles Schulz's iconic Peanuts characters Charlie Brown, Sally, Peppermint Patty, Lucy, Linus, and Woodstock, under the guidance of the consummate showman Snoopy, as they sing and dance their way through witty philosophies about love and life as only The Peanuts gang can.

This re-imagined version of the musical Snoopy!!! was developed by the Head of Musical Theater at Texas State University, Kaitlin Hopkins, Broadway choreographer Adam Cates, and composer Larry Grossman in a workshop production by the Texas State Department of Theatre and Dance as part of the Harrison/Bowman New Works Commission in spring of 2015.

This new production introduces a new song for Sally with music by the original Snoopy composer Larry Grossman (Minnie's Boys, Goodtime Charley) and lyrics by award winning composer/lyricist Andrew Lippa (You're A Good Man Charlie Brown Broadway Revival, Big Fish). With fresh orchestrations and a revised book, audiences can expect The Peanuts characters to dance more than ever before.

THE WORLD ACCORDING TO SNOOPY features a talented, young cast of Texas State University students and alumni. Ryne Nardecchia as Snoopy, Nick Eibler as Woodstock, Grayson Samuels as Charlie Brown, Raegan Roberts as Sally, Maggie Bera as Lucy, Ty Hunter Taylor as Linus, Adria Swan as Peppermint Patty, and understudies Jacob Burns, Emma Lenderman, ElizaBeth Brady and Daniel Z Miller. Nardecchia, Roberts and Miller are native Houstonians. Nardecchia and Roberts are also former students at TUTS Humphreys School of Musical Theatre.
