Hilo Education Arts Repertory Theatre (HEART) celebrates its fifth anniversary with a Benefit Concert featuring Broadway star Matt Shingledecker, known for roles in Wicked and Les Misérables. This event on February 9 aims to raise funds for HEART's youth production of Disney’s Frozen, which will involve 50-100 local performers. The concert will also showcase performances by local artists Meili Aspen, Pomai Conant-Longakit, Kimo Apaka, and the cast of HEART’s upcoming production of Dear Evan Hansen. HEART’s youth theatre program plays a vital role in the Hilo arts community, providing opportunities for young artists to develop skills in a supportive environment.
