On September 11, 2001, 38 planes were diverted to the small town of Gander, Newfoundland, doubling its population overnight. As fear and confusion spread, the people of Gander welcomed 7,000 stranded travelers with open arms, shelter, and compassion. Come From Away tells the inspiring true story of how generosity, hope, and human connection helped thousands of strangers find community when they needed it most. This breathtaking musical blends humor, heart, and soaring music to tell a story of resilience and humanity. It’s a celebration of what happens when people choose kindness in the face of tragedy.
