Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" - Mar. 25 - Apr. 11
In a moonlit forest outside Athens, the worlds of mortals and fairies collide. When a feuding King and Queen of the Fairies interfere in the lives of four runaway lovers and a troupe of amateur actors, the result is a chaotic, magical night of mistaken identity, transformed heads, and mismatched hearts. Four young lovers, Hermia, Lysander, Helena, and Demetrius, flee the strict laws of Athens and venture into an enchanted forest, unaware that they have stepped into the middle of a domestic war between Oberon and Titania, the King and Queen of the Fairies. Armed with a mischievous servant named Puck and a powerful love potion, Oberon attempts to settle his scores, but only succeeds in throwing the lovers into a state of total romantic delirium. Adding to the mayhem is a group of local craftsmen, "The Mechanicals," who have retreated to the woods to rehearse a play for the Duke’s wedding. When their lead actor, Nick Bottom, is transformed into a donkey and becomes the unintended object of a fairy queen's affection, the line between reality and dream disappears entirely.
