Gulfshore Playhouse Closes 2013-14 Season with ALL MY SONS, Now thru 4/19

Gulfshore Playhouse will present American classic, All My Sons by Arthur Miller today, March 28th through April 19th, with a $25 preview performance on March 27th.

Set in small-town Ohio in the 1940's, George Deever returns from war to find his father in prison after his machine shop produced defective airplane parts, causing the deaths of many men. Meanwhile, his father's partner, Joe Keller, went free unscathed. As this intense play continues, a marriage proposal unlocks family secrets, illuminates the price of power, and shatters the American dream. This fiery and emotional tale about family, love and the consequences of capitalism that won Arthur Miller the first Tony Award ever given to a playwright and cemented his status as one of America's greatest writers.

Founder and Producing Artistic Director, Kristen Coury will direct the production. "Arthur Miller was a man ahead of his time. His passion about the responsibility we all share for this world we live in is inspiring. He writes about grand themes in plain language and with characters to whom we can all relate, which allows an open window into the intensity and emotion of this play," says Coury.

Joe Keller will be played by William Parry. William originated roles in the Broadway productions of Sunday in the Park with George, Passion, and Jesus Christ Superstar. He also appeared in Gypsy on Broadway with Bernadette Peters, as well as Camelot, where he understudied Richard Burton and Richard Harris. William has performed in the National Tours of A Few Good Men, Titantic, and Memphis.

Amy Van Nostrand will play Kate Keller. Amy appeared on Broadway in Pinter's The Hothouse. Her numerous Off-Broadway and Regional Credits include Off The King's Road, The God Committee, and productions at Weston Playhouse, Trinity Rep, The Guthrie Theater, The Huntington Theatre, and Shakespeare Theatre among many others.

Zac Hoogendyk will be playing Chris Keller. Gulfshore Playhouse audiences will recognize Zac from his role in Ken Ludwig's The Game's Afoot. Zac's past credits include The Grapes of Wrath at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Shakespeare's R and J at the International Shakespeare Festival in Neuss, Germany, In the Next Room or The Vibrator Play at the Cleveland Play House, Beauty and the Beast at the Texas Shakespeare Festival, and The Life and Death of King John with New York Shakespeare Exchange. Zac is a company member with AMIOS, New York Shakespeare Exchange, and Heiress Productions, a non-profit theatre company designed to raise funds for cancer research and relief.

Ann Deever will be played by Claire Brownell. Claire has appeared on the Gulfshore Playhouse stage in A Streeetcar Named Desire, The Importance of Being Earnest, Ken Ludwig's The Game's Afoot and the First Annual New Works Festival in August 2013. Claire appeared on Broadway and in the National Tour in The 39 Steps. She has also performed regionally at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre, Palm Beach Dramaworks, Shakespeare Theatre Company, La Jolla Playhouse, Seattle Repertory Theatre, American Conservatory Theatre, Shakespeare on the Sound, The Huntington Theatre, and Hartford Stage.

Gulfshore Playhouse's Artistic Associate, Cody Nickell will play Dr. Jim Bayliss. Naples audiences will recognize Cody from last season's 'Art' and The Whipping Man and this season's Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol and The Game's Afoot. Cody also directed Gulfshore Playhouse's productions of Something Intangible and God of Carnage. Cody's other theatre credits include: The Taming of the Shrew (Helen Hayes Nomination), Arcadia (Helen Hayes Nomination), The School for Scandal, Macbeth; Woolly Mammoth: Clybourne Park (Helen Hayes Nomination), In the Next Room, or the vibrator play. A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University's School of Drama, Cody is a three-time Helen Hayes Award nominee and the winner of The Connecticut Critics' Circle Award.

Sue Bayliss will be played by Emily Townley. Emily first appeared on the Gulfshore Playhouse stage in The Game's Afoot. Emily resides in Washington, DC, where she is a member of the Acting Company at Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company. Her Woolly productions include Detroit, A Bright New Boise, House of Gold, Maria/Stuart, Spain, Fuddy Meers, Wonder of the World , and Watbanaland. Emily has also appeared at the Studio Theatre, Everyman Theatre, Round House Theatre, and the Folger Shakespeare Theatre.

George Deever will be played by Zolan Henderson. Zolan most recently appeared on Gulfshore Playhouse's stage in the First Annual New Works Festival. He has also performed in Beau Jest and Unnecessary Farce. Zolan has also appeared in numerous productions at Florida Repertory Theatre; including The Rainmaker, The Boys Next Door, and Moon Over Buffalo.

Joseph Tisa will be playing Frank Lubey. Mr. Tisa's recent regional credits include Tigers Be Still at The Public Theatre and national tours of Of Mice and Men and As You Like It with The Acting Company. He has also appeared The Fantasticks, Beau Jest, Oleanna, and The Diary of Anne Frank.

Julia Hochner will be playing Lydia Lubey. Julia's New York credits include The Fat Man's Daughter, Tape, Sextortion, Phases, Cab Drivers: A Love Story, Hansel & Gretel and Miss Nelson Has A Field Day.

Bertie will be played by Alexis Hyatt. Alexis appeared in Gulfshore Playhouse's production of The Game's Afoot. Alexis's credits include Scapin at New York Classical Theatre, The School for Scandal at The Gallery Players, and To Kill a Mockingbird at Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey. She has also appeared in The Importance of Being Earnest, Les Liasions Dangereuses and Amadeus at Northern Stage.
