Florida Rep Announces 20th Anniversary Season!

Florida Repertory Theatre has just announced its 2017-2018 Season - its 20th Anniversary - in the Historic Arcade Theatre and ArtStage Studio Theatre. Sept. 19, 2017 to May 6, 2018, the season will open two weeks earlier than previous years and includes A.R. Gurney's comedy about a street-smart pooch, "Sylvia", a Tony-winning musical, multiple comedies, an American classic, a world-premiere, and new Cole Porter revue!

"We are pleased to offer a 20th anniversary season that will showcase our ensemble of artists in a wide variety of work," said Producing Artistic Director, Robert Cacioppo. "There are comedies for those who want to laugh, dramas for those who want to be challenged, and another acclaimed musical on the Arcade Theatre stage. Plus, we are reviving 'Sylvia' by A.R. Gurney starring ensemble member, Michelle Damato. That play was a huge hit for us in 2011, and it is the single most requested play my audiences ask me to revive."

New for the 20th Anniversary season, Florida Rep's weekday evening performances will now begin at 7PM. Beginning in September, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday's evening performances in both venues are now set for 7PM curtain times. Matinee performances will not change. Weekend curtain times will remain at the traditional 8PM time slot.

Florida Rep's 20th Season is once again full of laughter and compelling storytelling, and it features a wide variety of comedies, dramas, new works, and a musical across two unique venues.
