Currently on its third season, Broadway au Carré is the leading American musical theatre concert and open mic series in France and a true artistic exchange platform between French performers and American musical theatre songwriters, having produced over 30 concerts, readings and full-productions in Paris and in New York, including a sold-out concert at Feinstein's/54 Below last November (also one of Broadwayworld.com's Cabaret Top 5 Picks).

The Broadway au Carré monthly events are like a magnificent French three-course meal: first, a cabaret concert by a featured performer, then an American musical theatre open mic, where some of the best local artists gather to belt out their favorite Broadway show tunes, and last but not least, the "American Composers, European Premieres" set where Broadway au Carré features a new musical theatre composer each month, with a set of songs that have never been performed in Europe before.

Thursday, March 17th is the date to remember if you want to come to the next Broadway au Carré event. The series will feature for the first time in France composer Elaine Pechacek, who will come from Orlando for the occasion to present a selection of songs from her award-winning musicals SEASONS, DELAYED (both with lyrics by Katie Hammond) and THE LADY JULIANA, which was recently premiered in Australia.

"Just One Moment avec Elaine Pechacek" will be directed by Amanda Bestor-Siegal, starring well-renowned Parisian actors Sarah Tullamore (Singin' in the Rain, Sister Act), and Lisandro Nesis (Ordinary Days, Island Song), as well as Broadway au Carré's young rising star Lily Kerhoas.

Joining the Parisian cast from the United States will be Tiana Akers, the originator of the role Rachel Hoddy from Elaine Pechacek's newest musical, The Lady Juliana, and Helen from the award winning version of SEASONS.

The second part of the evening will consist of Broadway au Carré's renowned American musical theatre open mic, hosted on this occasion by Lisandro Nesis and Elaine Pechacek and accompanied by Broadway au Carré's music director John Florencio.

Broadway au Carré takes place at Comédie Nation located at 77, rue de Montreuil, 75011 Paris, France. Doors open at 7 pm, showtime at 7:30 pm followed by an Open Mic at 9 pm. 13€ / 10€ (students) cover charge includes a drink. Reservations required online at www.comedienation.fr.
