| Breakdown
URBAN COWBOY PRINCIPAL: single principal role left of UNCLE BOB is a former rodeo cowboy felled by a bull traped with him in chute. He is from Spur TX, and is now an oil rigger. He alternates being Bud's new running buddy and his paternal influence. He sings THE TRUTH ABOUT MEN, TAKE THIS JOB AND SHOVE IT, and SOMETHING THAT WE DC. He may have a beer gut, but there is a strong vitality about him. Age range 35 to 55. GUYS & DOLLS PRINCIPALS: Both the roles of BENNY and HARRY remain open. Please bear in mind all gangsters in this production are ideally six foot or taller. Also the traditional solo gangster assignments in the title number and FUGUE FOR TINHORNS may be re-examined in this production with the express permission of the Loesser estate, who is also lending support for the addition of EVERLOVIN ADELAIDE from the film version. The dance arrangements are likely to be the last Broadway revival's. URBAN COWBOY Ensemble: we seek good dancers who sing well that look as if they nightclub at Gilly's in Houston, dancin, drinkin, and ridin a mechanical bull. All ethnicities welcome. You are welcome to sing 16-bar selections from the score or any contemporary musical, as well as country-western popular songs, You may be asked back to move within the AEA Dance calls later this week. GUYS & DOLLS Ensemble: the Hot Box girls and Salvation Army band are local offers already. We seek ideally men of six foot or taller who sing and dance well for the Gangster's Chorus. All ethnicities not only welcome but encouraged. You are welcome to sing 16-bar selections from the score or any Golden Age musical, and you may be asked back to move within the AEA Dance calls later this week.
