TYA - minimum $438.75/week
Seeking
Actors w/ strong classical backgrounds. Tour will play primarily schools in San Diego County. No housing provided; local actors only. Performers of all ethnic and racial backgrounds are encouraged to attend. NO PHONE CALLS, PLEASE.
Preparation
Please prepare two contrasting 1-minute Shakespeare monologues. Bring a current picture & resume with you to your audition.

First Rehearsal: Monday, April 8
Rehearsals: Mondays-Saturdays, April 8-20 (to be confirmed)
Performances: Weekdays and some possible weekends, April 22-May 18

Breakdown
Viola – 20s-30s, female – Heroine. Strong ability to handle text and comedic instincts.
Orsino/Sir Toby – 30s-40s, male – strong comedic chops, ability to carry a tune a plus. The actor must be able to play both a suave, debonair romantic leading man and a raucous party raconteur who is the life of the party.
Olivia/Sir Andrew– 30s-40s, female – attractive, strong-willed, must also have strong comedic chops and ability to move/fight a plus. The actor must be able to play a grieving sister as well as a wanna-be romantic dandy.
Sebastian/Maria/Officer – 20s-30s, male – romantic lead and comic lady in waiting. Actor must be able to handle verse, stage combat experience a plus.
Malvolio/Antonio – 40s – Puritannical, religious conservative who breaks out into a romantic fool, must also play a roughneck pirate. Strong physical comedic chops, stage combat ability.
Feste – 30s – male, strong comedic and musical chops, must be able to sing, ability to play instrument (guitar or violin) a plus.
