Breakdown
This is a musical. All actors must be funny, quirky, versatile performers along the lines of Saturday Night Live or Forbidden Broadway. All actors must be strong singers with a pop sensibility and STRONG movers. Ethnic performers encouraged to submit.
Male 1 Tenor, 18+ Character man with broad vocal range and a good sense of humor to play a variety of characters including a Worker Ant (Boston Accent a plus), an operatic bear, and a super cool cat.
Male 2 Bari-Tenor, 18 + Must be an excellent comedian. Plays the horrifying Teacher from the Black Lagoon, a Bruce Springsteen inspired moose, a lovable 1st grade teacher, and a very Grumpy Bird.
Male 3 Tenor, 18 + Boyish character with great comic chops to play various characters including a love-sick cat, a nervous boy on his first day of school, a hippy grasshopper, and a professorial mouse.
Female 1 Soprano with belt, 18+, petite, to play a mouse with a flair for the dramatic, an ingénue kitten, a rock band groupie, and various other characters.
Female 2 Mezzo with belt, 18 + to play a Worker Ant (Boston Dialect a plus), a terrifying Dog, along with other characters. Seeking an excellent comedic actress.
