Preparation
Singers
Prepare a song in the style of the show. Bring sheet music; accompanist provided.

Dancers
Bring appropriate dance clothes/shoes (men-dance shoes; ladies-heels and flats). Also prepare a song in the style of the show in case asked to sing.

Bring picture and resume, stapled together.

Breakdown

Seeking Men and women. All MUST be excellent dancers and can sing well. To play 18 to early 50s

For the ensemble and the following special chorus parts:

FRANK MANERO
40s-50s. Tony’s father. An out of work construction worker who feels like the world has turned its back on him. Brooklyn accent.

FRANK JR
20s. Tony’s brother who has left the priesthood. Humble and full of good advice. Singer who moves, Brooklyn accent.

PAULINE
Plays 19. Sweet and optimistic ex-girlfriend of Bobby. She’s hurt by Bobby’s behavior, but there’s a larger issue that’s concerning her. Strong singer, Brooklyn accent. (Range: G3-E5)

PENNY
Any age. The resident singer of 2001. Sexy and confident, beloved by everybody. Strong singer. (Range: C4-G5)

LINDA MANERO
Child or pre-teen. Tony’s kid sister. Sunny and spunky. Brooklyn accent.

FLO MANERO
40s-50s. Tony’s mother. A devout Catholic, she cares deeply for her family, and especially idolizes her son, Frank Jr. Brooklyn accent.

GRANDMOTHER MANERO
60s or older. Tony’s grandmother. An old world Italian woman who doesn’t speak much English.
