Julie Jordan - Female. 20’s. Quiet, mill worker who falls in love with Billy Bigelow.
Billy Bigelow - Male. Late 20’s to Early 30’s. Handsome, cocky, charismatic barker for Mullin’s Carousel. Hard-headed and troubled.
Enoch Snow - Male. Late 20’s to 30’s. A shy fisherman who has big plans for the future who turns into a successful business owner.
Carrie Pipperidge - Female. 20’s. Lively friend and coworker of Julie. Balances out Julie’s seriousness. In love with Enoch Snow.
Nettie Fowler - Female. 40’s or 50’s. Julie’s older cousin and her rock. Soft-hearted woman who runs and owns a seaside business.
Jigger Craigin - Male. 30’s. A con man with a sense of humor. Dangerous, and menacing seaman friend to Billy. Has an eye for Carrie Pipperidge
Starkeeper/Dr. Seldon - Male. 50s and up. Heavenly figure. Dr. Seldon is the earthy version of the Starkeeper.
Mrs. Mullin - Female. 40’s or 50’s. Middle-aged widow and owner of the carousel. Jealously in love with Billy.
Louise Bigelow - Female. 20’s. Major dancing role.
Ensemble - A diverse group of strong dancers and singers. Townspeople, sailors, girls from the mill, etc. Featured roles will be chosen from the ensemble.

Saunders - Male. Early 50’s. Show business producer. Self-made man, hard working, high-strung and had to fight his way to get to the top. He could stand to lose his fortune and reputation with his latest production.
Max - Male. Mid 30s. Saunders former assistant and a rising opera singer who has the potential for an international career. Smart and quick with a joke. Married to Saunders’ daughter, Maggie, who is pregnant with their first child. Sings well.
Maria - Female. 40’s to early 50’s. Tito’s stunning wife. She looks straight out of an Italian fashion magazine. Strong Italian accent, big personality and an explosive temper.
Tito/Beppo - Male. 50’s. One of Italy’s most famous opera singers. Dresses with style, strong Italian accent, has a bit of a diva complex, and insanely jealous. Dependent on Maria for everything in his life. Strong tenor voice. Also Beppo, a bellhop.
Mimi - Female. 20’s. Tito & Maria’s daughter. Educated in the U.S. and has an American accent. Romantic, wide-eyed modern girl who has found the love of her life and hopes to make it in show business as an actress. She is in a relationship with Carlo Nucci who she adores.
Carlo - Male. Late 20’s. Italian-American from Brooklyn. Famous young tenor who is in love with Mimi but is also viewed as a threat to her father’s career. Tito is in awe of Carlo. Strong tenor.
Tatiana Racón - Female. 40’s to early 50’s. Famous Russian opera singer. Former lover to Tito. Very passionate woman with a strong Russian accent. Sings well.

Gloria - Female. 20’s-30’s. Cuban. Starts off shy, but slowly opens up as the show progresses. Becomes an icon. Sharp sense of humor. Star quality. Speaks fluent Spanish, sings pop, and moves well.
Gloria Fajardo – Female. 50’s-60’s. Cuban. Gloria’s brassy, strong-willed mother. Latin matriarch. Biting humor. Speaks fluent Spanish and sings well.
Consuelo - Female. 60’s-70’s. Cuban. Gloria’ Grandmother. Like a Cuban stage mother. Sometimes an apparition. Wise, loving, and warm. Always pushing Gloria to achieve her dreams. Speaks fluent Spanish and is able to carry a tune.
Young Emilio/Nayib – Male. Ages 8-12. Doubles as Emilio Estefan as a boy, as well as Gloria Estefan’s son. Strong dancer and speaks Spanish. Does not need to sing.
Little Gloria - Female. Ages 10-12. Cuban. Innocent, smart, and self-reliant. A little sad, but always hopeful. Speak Spanish and sings well.
Ensemble - A diverse group of strong dancers and pop singers that will play multiple roles throughout the show. Featured roles will be chosen from the ensemble.

Billy Elliot – Male Identifying. 10-12 years old. Boy who stumbles onto a ballet class and discovers he has a gift. Stuck between what his family will think and his newfound love for dance. Seeking a better future for himself. Has extensive ballet technique and training. For this production we will be casting 2 Billys who will alternate between playing Billy and Tall Boy/Posh Boy in the Ensemble.
Michael Caffrey – Male Identifying. 10-12 years old. Billy’s best friend. Doesn’t fit into the norm. Outspoken, opinionated and follows his own drum. Excellent tapper, good voice. Has tap and ballet experience.
Dad – Male Identifying. 45-60 years old. Working class, narrow minded, single parent who has a rough exterior but a big heart and deep love of his family. Constantly trying to do what is best for his family and his fellow union workers. Baritone.
Tony – Male Identifying. 20s-30s. Billy’s brother. Passionate and a hard line union miner. Disrespectful at times towards his father and does not initially approve of Billy’s love for dance. Baritone.
George – Male Identifying. 40-60 years old. A friend of Billy’s dad and the town’s boxing teacher. A working-class miner.
Mrs. Wilkinson – Female Identifying. 40-50 years old. The local ballet teacher who trains and ultimately tries to help give Billy a brighter future. Big energy, compassionate, but also firm and mouthy at times. Has dance experience. Mezzo Soprano.
Grandma – Female Identifying. 65+ years old. Billy’s grandmother who has been through a lot in her life. Good sense of humor and has a close relationship with Billy. Alto.
Debbie Wilkinson – Female Identifying. 10-12 years old. Mrs. Wilkinson’s daughter. Completely neglected by her mother and a bit stand-offish. In love with Billy and flirts with him the only way she knows how, with sarcasm. Soprano.
Ensemble - A diverse group of men and women that are strong singers. Miners, policemen, scabs, townspeople, etc. Featured roles will be chosen from the ensemble.
