$605 weekly minimum

SEEKING

Equity actors for roles in PRIMARY TRUST (See breakdown).
All roles will be understudied.
In casting, Virginia Repertory Theatre endeavors to be as inclusive as possible. We invite all performers, including gender non-conforming, genderqueer, transgender, and non-binary actors, to submit for the roles they most identify with. We will also list race/ethnicity when specific to the character but are otherwise seeking all races and ethnicities.

Roles:

  • Kenneth - male identifying, Black, late 30s
  • Bert - male identifying, Black, late 30s-40s
  • Corrina/Wally's Waiter/Bank Customers - female identifying, Black, 30s-40s
  • Clay/Sam/Le Pousselet Bartender - male identifying, any race, 50s-60s

Performance Venue: Theatre Gym, inside the November Theatre Complex (114 West Broad Street, Richmond, VA 23220).
An Equity Monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition.

PREPARATION

These auditions will consist of a prepared contemporary monologue of any genre that explores, interrogates or demonstrates the “human condition” in all of its forms. The monologue should be 1-minute in length and show some measure of “physicality.” Please also have a contrasting monologue prepared to perform as requested. Please perform your preferred monologue first. No Shakespeare.
Also, bring your headshot and resume stapled together.
