For ADDIS: Black. He/him. 18+ to play teens. Wants to be a warrior. Touched. No self-pity, always moving forward.

For TISHA: Black. She/her. 50s- late 60s. Evelyn’s sister. Strong, fierce, funny but not looking for laughs. Honest. Committed to pursuing her goals despite her effed up circumstances. Tends the earth and the dead.

For EVELYN: Black. She/her. 50s- late 60s. Tisha’s sister. Strong, fierce, funny but not looking for laughs. Honest. Committed to pursuing her goals despite her effed up circumstances. Tends herself.

For ODELLA: Black. She/her. Late 30s. Sadie’s aunt. In mourning. If Odella wasn’t kinda pretty, she’d be the town drunk. Deep down knows she may die before she finds real love.

For THE ROWDY: A chorus of 8 Black neighborhood youths, he/him, they/them, she/her, between the ages of 13-18. Most of The Rowdy present as masculine but the group may also be comprised of nonbinary and femme presenting folx. Strong movers, full of joy. Brimming with youth and life.
