SEEKING
Equity actors to serve as guest artists for the MMNT 2016-2017 Season
Seeking Actors for Men On Boats by Jacklyn Backhaus, The Three Musketeers by Megan Monaghan Rivas, and Spring Awakening, book and lyrics by Steven Sater and Music by Duncan Sheik
PREPARATION
Please prepare a monologue (up to 90 seconds; classical or contemporary) and, if applicable, 32 bars of a song in the style of the show. An accompanist will be provided. Resume and headshot required.

Men on Boats runs Nov 8 - 18, 2018; first rehearsal is October 1, 2018
The Three Musketters runs Feb. 14 - 24, 2019; first rehearsal is January 7
Spring Awakening runs April 4 - 14, 2019; First rehearsal is February 18, 2019. There will be a one week Layoff for Academic Break from March 18 - 24, 2019.

Equity Actors unable to make the Equity call may submit a resume and headshot (see contact information). Casting actors from the Austin ETJ and surrounding area. MMNT operates under an AEA URTA agreement; guest artists are mentors for student actors. An Equity Monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition.

Men On Boats
Two female ensemble actors - must be comfortable with text, movement and music
The Three Musketeers
Two actors age 35+ - part of the ensemble; specific characters to be determined. One male and the second may be male or femaie. Precise assignment to be determined based on facility and student casting . Actors should be comfortable with language, stage combat (swordfghting), and movement.
Spring Awakening
Each adult plays multiple roles.
Woman 1 (Mezzo-Soprano) 40+:
Frau Bergman: Wendla’s mother
Fräulein Knuppeldick: an associate of Headmaster Knochenbruch Frau Bessell: Martha’s mother
Fräulein Grossebüstenhalter: Georg’s piano teacher
Fanny Gabor: Melchior’s mother
Man 1 (Bari-Tenor) 40+
Herr Sonnenstich: a schoolteacher
Herr Stiefel: Moritz’s father
Schmidt: the abortionist
Herr Neumann: Ilse’s Father
Man 2 (Bari-Tenor) 40+
Headmaster Knochenbruch: the boys’ school headmaster
