Jean Valjean (Lead): Male, 40-60, All Ethnicities after being released from imprisonment for serving nineteen years, he decides to break his parole and turns his life around; dramatic tenor.

Inspector Javert (Lead): Male, 40-60, All Ethnicities respects the law above all else and relentlessly pursues Valjean; baritone/bass-baritone.

Fantine (Lead): Female, 21-30, All Ethnicities a poor worker who loses her job and, as a result, turns to prostitution in order to continue paying the Thénardiers to care for her illegiti... more

Époninee (Lead): Female, 14-21, All Ethnicities daughter of the Thénardiers, Éponine, now ragged and a waif, secretly loves Marius; mezzo-soprano.

Marius Pontmercy (Lead): Male, 20-28, All Ethnicities a student revolutionary, is friends with Éponine, but falls in love with Cosette, and she with him; baritone/tenor.

Cosette (Lead): Female, 18-25, All Ethnicities the daughter of Fantine, has grown-up to become a beautiful young woman of culture and privilege under Valjean's adoptive and loving fatherl... more

Young Cosette (Supporting): Female, 6-12, All Ethnicities the young daughter of Fantine, is in the care of the Thénardiers who are paid by Fantine to take care of her child; treble.

Madame Thénardier (Supporting): Female, 35-55, All Ethnicities Thénardier's unscrupulous wife; contralto.

Thénardier (Supporting): Male, 35-55, All Ethnicities a second-rate thief, runs a small inn, comic baritone.

Gavroche (Supporting): Male, 9-16, All Ethnicities a streetwise urchin who dies on the barricade helping the revolutionaries; boy soprano.

Ensemble (Chorus / Ensemble): Males & Females, 18+, All Ethnicities all other roles will be played by our strong ensemble, each of whom may be playing multiple roles.
