Preparation
Prepare a brief selection (16-32 bars) in the style of the show; bring picture/resume.

**If unable to register electronically, or not able to secure an appointment, same-day alternates will be seen as time allows; people may begin to sign in at Room #405, at 11 AM on 3/26, but not earlier.

Following the success of our acclaimed "REDISCOVER SERIES" presentations of Carousel and Oklahoma!, NAAP presents Hello, Dolly! directed by Tony Award nominee Lee Roy Reams in the state-of-the-art 294-seat Irene Diamond Stage at the new Pershing Square Signature Center on W. 42nd Street.

[HORACE VANDERGELDER] Asian, Male, 40s and up, Well-known half-a-millionaire, widower, owns the Feed Store. Gruff, set in his ways, authoritative. Character baritone.

[CORNELIUS HACKL] Asian, Male, 33. Chief clerk at the Feed Store, energetic, enthusiastic, and adventurous. Charming and naïve, he's sweet on Irene Molloy. Baritone to F#.

[BARNABY TUCKER] Asian, Male, 18+ to play the 17 year old assistant to Cornelius at the Feed Store. Naïve, energized, follower with boyish innocence. Baritone to G#

[IRENE MOLLOY] Asian, Female, 30s. Widow who owns the Hat Shop. Beautiful, smart, fun-loving with sex appeal. Sings "Ribbons Down My Back". Soprano.

[MINNIE FAY] Asian, Female, 18+ to play late teens/early 20s. Irene’s assistant in the hat shop, naïve, straight-laced, fresh, follower. Mezzo-soprano.

[AMBROSE KEMPER] Asian, Male, 20s, Struggling artist, seeks Vandergelder's permission to marry Ermengarde. Good-natured and accommodating. Tenor to G#.

[ERMENGARDE] Asian, Female, 18+ to play 17. Horace’s niece, high-strung, very dramatic and often weepy. Wants to marry Ambrose. Mezzo-soprano, should sing well.

[ERNESTINA/ENSEMBLE] Asian, Female, 30s. Accommodating, good-time girl. Character singer.

[RUDOLPH REISENWEBER/ENSEMBLE] Asian, Male, 40s and up. Prussian Maitre’d of the Harmonia Gardens, proper, commanding. Bass-baritone.

[MRS. ROSE/ENSEMBLE] Asian, Female, 40s. Streetcart vegetable vendor and an old friend of Dolly's. Small cameo, sweet and endearing. Character actress, minimal vocal needs.
