Breakdown
JD Drew- 60’s a gold old boy with pomade in his hair and a high wattage grin
Kelli Mangrum- 22, a pretty girl with steel ambition
Benny Perkins- mid-40s, with a lanky frame, weatherbeaten face, ingratiating grin, and lots of homespun philosophy
Greg Wilhote- early 20s, a freckled white kid in a baseball cap
Chris Alvaro- well-built under his hoodie, a pair of aviator glasses conceal his eyes
Ronald McCowan- 35, is a good-natured African American with a slight Louisiana accent
Heather Stovall- 29, is a flirtacious restaurant hostess
Virginia Drew- JD Drew’s wife, a one-time beauty settling into middle age
Mike Ferris- sales manager, late 30s, boyishly handsome, wearing a cheap tie with a Nascar clip.
Cindy Barnes- a former Miss Gregg County, still fond of pageant hair and pastels
Jesus Peña- a driven Mexican kid in his 20s
Norma Valverde- is a stout Latina woman in tennis shoes and a floral appliqué t-shirt
Janis Curtis- a tough old bird with sun-burnished skin and missing teeth
Frank Nugent- a die-hard good ole boy dressed in a Stetson
Don Curtis- Janis’ husband, wears a cardboard sign on his head that proclaims: “I LOVE YOU
JANIS, GO BABY GO!”
Dr. Stokes- role can be played by the actor who plays Don Curtis
