Equity actors for chorus singer parts in DEATH BECOMES HER (See breakdown).

PREPARATION

Please prepare 16-bars of a contemporary musical theatre song. Bring sheet music in the correct key. An accompanist will be provided. Please also bring a hardcopy of your headshot and resume stapled together.

BREAKDOWN

Equity encourages everyone participating in the auditions to wear a two-ply cloth face mask, surgical mask, singer’s mask or respirator (N95, KN95 or KF94). Single-ply face masks, gaiters and bandanas are not recommended. Singer’s masks can be found at www.broadwayreliefproject.com/singersmask.

Equity encourages members to prepare for their audition prior to arriving at the audition venue, to the extent that they can (e.g., get dressed, hair/make-up, etc.) to avoid crowding in bathrooms and dressing rooms.

SEEKING:

ENSEMBLE SINGERS: Strong singers, all vocal types. To play various featured ensemble roles including:

BRANDON – 20s. Madeline’s ever faithful assistant. Gen Z attitude who is propping Madeline up by any means necessary.

CHIP BUZBY – 40s. Madeline’s fast-talking, narcissistic, oblivious agent. He’s feared by everyone – but he fears Madeline.

SARA – 80s. Ernest’s second wife. Sweet-looking, takes care of herself. Devoted to Ernest and the life they have together.

JANE – Ernest’s longtime nurse and confidant. 40s. Sweet and supportive. She commiserates with Ernest over his downfall.

LUCIANO MILLIOTTI – A handsome opera singer. Rich tenor that rivals Pavarotti. F#3 to Ab4
