Jake “The Dancer” Kinberg: Male presenting, Age 40. Any ethnicity. Born: Jacob Ruben Kinberg. In Brooklyn. Tough good-looking gangster: Smart, great dancer. Jake is the real deal and LOVES being a gangster…but loves Rose more.

Kathleen “Rose” Mc Sweeny A.k.a. “Broadway Rose”: Female presenting, 35. Any ethnicity: Born in Hells’ Kitchen. Tough good-looking Irish gal...(Ann Sheridan type) Red hair fiery temper. Could have gone to law school very bright. Heart of gold. Is an icon in NYC. GREAT Singer. Scats.

Jazz: Female presenting, Early to mid 30s. Black, European accent. Fantastic singer belt soprano, has the ability to scat. Great dancer. Very hot and sexy.

Jilly/Nelson: Male presenting, 40s+, 5'7 to 5'11, Any ethnicity: This is a double role, same actor. Two distinct and totally different characters. Must NOT be able to be detected by the audience! Aldridge Nelson: Slim: an American. Boston accent. West Point polish as Nelson. FBI agent. Jilly: Heavy set: London Accent: A cartoon of a British music hall entertainer and maître ’D who comes off as totally androgynous. A happy soul who loves playing the foolish little court jester.

Klaus Von Schuler: Male presenting Late 30s to Early 40s Caucasian: Gestapo agent. German Good-looking Aryan. Arrogant, spoiled well educated from a very influential &wealthy German pro-Nazi family. Slight German accent.

Myrtle Glutz: Female presenting: late 30’s to late 40’s Any ethnicity: Born in Jewish section: Flatbush Brooklyn. Spent time in reform school. Learned how to become an A number 1 pick pocket. Dedicated to Rose and then to Jake. Very street wise.

Inspector Cedrick Kittering: Male presenting 50ish. Any ethnicity. Very British. Upper class British accent. A buffoon. Drinks but not an alcoholic.

Perceval Bouchard: Male presenting. Late 30’s – mid-40’s: Any ethnicity. Lieutenant in the Sûreté. He should be a bit tongue and cheek. Middle class French. Tall and lean.

Qasif: Male presenting Early to late 30’s: Egyptian, North African or Middle Eastern. He works at a bar in Cairo, is very well educated.

Abbu: Male presenting 19: Egyptian, North African or Middle Eastern, Arab: 19-year-old Street kid. Waif.

Prof Zweben: Male presenting 50 to late 50’s: Any ethnicity. A good religious Jewish family man. Scientist. Helped develop the atomic bomb.
