Breakdown
ALL ACTORS NEED TO BE DOG FRIENDLY AND HAVE NO DANDER ALLERGIES The small ensemble will play the following featured roles: Dunlop Dewberry: Boy to play early teens. Caucasian. Has a sharp sense of humor and Southern charm. Strong singer, post pubescent tenor or bari-tenor with a contemporary feel. Amanda Wilkerson: 13-14 years old girl. Character is any ethnicity but Caucasian. She is a know it all, snobby, sassy and smart, but hides a deep hurt at the death of her brother. Strong singer, contemporary feel. Woman #1: Female to play 30's. Caucasian. Soprano/Mezzo plays Callie Thomas, a former prom queen and wild girl of High School Pretty and well meaning, trying to go from beauty queen to mom is tough for her. Woman #2: Female to play 30-40. Character is any ethnicity but Caucasian. Plays Millie Wilkinson, Mother who is emotionally closed off to her family after the death of her son. Takes comfort in religion and can't understand her daughter's bad behavior in church. Man #2: Male to play 30-40. Character is any ethnicity but Caucasian. Bari-tenor, plays Carl Wilkinson. A man of few words, but a good sense of humor, even though he is still grieving over the loss of his child.
