Equity and Non-Equity Singers who Move Extremely Well. Principal and chorus.
All roles are open. Actors must be able to have great acting, vocal and movement abilities. Ensemble actors will understudy lead roles.

Preparation
Please prepare to dance first. Please where character shoes for women and jazz shoes for the men. Please prepare 16 bars from a song in the style of the show. All Singers must be proficient in blending/singing in tight harmonies.

Bring a picture and resume, stapled together.

Singers who Move Extremely Well for principal roles and ensemble. All Singers must be proficient in blending/singing in tight harmonies.

PRINCIPALS:

Violet Newstead
40s, The company’s Head Secretary and Mr. Hart’s Administrative Assistant, she is smart and efficient, a working mom. She stands up for what she believes in.
Vocal range -Alto

Doralee Rhodes
Late 20s, spirited country gal, warm and personable. Don’t underestimate her barbie doll appearance. (Dolly Parton-type)
Vocal Range – Soprano, high belt

Judy Bernly
Mid-30s, a bit meek & quite proper, she’s the new girl, a little insecure but determined and hopeful. She has been burned by her husbands affair.
Vocal range – Soprano, high belt

Franklin Hart, Jr
45-50s The notorious boss, smarmy, pompous, his own biggest fan. He can fool you with his temporary charm but soon shows his arrogant, self-absorbed attitude.
Vocal range - Baritone

Roz Keith
Company snitch who will do anything to win Mr. Hart’s approval.
Vocal range - Alto

Joe
Male, cute, young, office accountant, mid-late 20s smitten with Violet,
