Rude Frenchmen, dancing girls, killer rabbits, flying cows, and the somewhat odd Knights who say ‘ni’ are just some of the adventures and dangers awaiting King Arthur and his knights of the round table in their quest for the Holy Grail. “Lovingly ripped off” from the acclaimed 1975 film Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Monty Python’s Spamalot is an outrageously funny, irreverent parody of the Arthurian legend. With book and lyrics by Eric Idle and score by Eric Idle and John DuPrez, Spamalot was the winner of 3 Tony Awards (2005), including Best Musical and Best Direction of a Musical, and the 2006 Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album.
Monty Python’s Spamalot is made possible, in part, through support from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency committed to nurturing and supporting the arts in Delaware, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts.
