Piffaro, Philadelphia's acclaimed Renaissance Band, opens its 2026-2027 season with an all-instrumental program exploring the sounds of 16th-century Antwerp with shawms, sackbuts, dulcians, crumhorns, and other Renaissance instruments. The program explores the multi-faceted life of Tielman Susato, a publisher, working trombonist, and successful composer. Concerts take place at The Church of the Holy Trinity, Rittenhouse Square; Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill; and Christ Church Christiana Hundred in Wilmington, DE, and will also be filmed and streamed online.
