Gypsy is the ultimate tale of an ambitious stage mother fighting for her daughters' success while secretly yearning for her own. Set across America in the 1920s and 30s during the decline of vaudeville and the rise of burlesque, the score by Jule Styne and Stephen Sondheim includes Everything's Coming Up Roses, Rose's Turn, and You Gotta Get a Gimmick. Arthur Laurents' script explores the world of show business with brass, humor, heart, and sophistication. The production is directed by John H. Hulse, with music direction by Diane Trautman and choreography by Mark Lenard.
