The original rock musical that changed the face of theatre, Hair tells the story of the "tribe" - a group of politically active, long-haired hippies living a bohemian life in New York City - fighting against the draft and the Vietnam War. Claude, Berger, Sheila and their friends struggle to balance their young lives, loves and the sexual revolution with their rebellion against the war and their conservative parents and society. Ultimately, Claude must decide whether to resist the war as his friends have done, or to succumb to the pressures of his parents (and conservative America) to serve in Vietnam, compromising his pasafistic principles and risking his life. Filled with songs that became anthems of the anti-war movement and rock classics including, Aquarius, Let the Sun Shine In, Hair, Easy to be Hard, and Good Morning Starshine, Hair is the voice and the ideals of a generation that will continue to be relevant for years to come.
