Edge Of The Creek Productions To Hold Open Auditions 7/6-7 For THE GREAT AMERICAN TRAILER PARK MUSICAL

Edge of The Creek Productions, a production branch of Beavercreek Community Theatre, has scheduled open auditions for David Nehls’ “The Great American Trailer Park Musical,” based on a book by Betsy Kelso.

Auditions will be held at 7 p.m. July 6 and 7 at the theater, located within the Lofino Center at 3868 Dayton-Xenia Road in Beavercreek.

Those auditioning should prepare a short, one-minute, song that shows “your belting abilities,” said director Doug Lloyd, noting that the show calls for an ensemble cast of seven strong singers, five women and two men.

Those auditionaing will be taught, and asked to perform, a short dance routine, so they should dress appropriately and wear proper shoes. A accompanist will be provided and there will be cold readings from the script.

Performance dates for “The Great American Trailer Park Musical” will be Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from Sept. 18 thourgh Sept. 27.

The music director will be Judy Varner and the choreographer will be Stacy Geer.
