Triangle Academy of Dance

Triangle Academy of Dance (TAD) describes itself as a school for the art of dance and one of the Triangle's premier ballet schools, teaching at 2918 Kildaire Farm Road in Cary, North Carolina. It offers all styles of dance education alongside frequent performance opportunities, with a fall-spring season, a spring recital, birthday parties and a busy summer and track-out camp program built around themed weeks such as Cinderella Ballet Camp for ages 9 and up, a Bluey camp for ages 3-5 needing no experience, a Hawaiian beach party camp mixing ballet, jazz and tumbling, and a Wicked-themed musical theatre camp. Younger children start in Little Movers and preschool classes, while more advanced students can audition for tap and jazz teams and for the school's Pre-Professional and Professional Training Programs. TAD is closely linked to the Carolina Youth Ballet, whose Children's Nutcracker it supports, and to Ballet NC, a statewide professional touring company that auditions dancers aged 18 and over.
