About this studio
Toledo Ballet has been a Toledo, Ohio organization since 1939 and is now part of Live Arts Toledo, which also encompasses the Toledo Symphony and Toledo Jazz Orchestra. Its school operates from Heatherdowns Boulevard under artistic director Eric Otto, with the stated belief that 'dance is for every BODY'. Instruction draws on the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum, focusing on kinetics, coordination, anatomy and body alignment, and students progress through graded levels from Pre-Primary to Level 6/7. Beyond ballet the school teaches jazz, modern and tap, with a preschool enrichment program, adult classes and an Adaptive Dance Program for differently-abled participants. The company performs a season including The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and The Nutcracker.
