The Dance Stop Inc

Dance Stop Dance Education Center was founded in 1985 by Gina DeBenedetto-Forcella after she retired from a professional dance career, and now operates two New Jersey locations, a 7,000 square foot purpose-built facility on Bordentown Avenue in Parlin and a second studio on Buckelew Avenue in Monroe Township, with eight classrooms featuring sprung wooden floors, mirrors and professional sound. The school teaches dance and voice from beginner to pre-professional level in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, hip hop, acro, lyrical, modern, contemporary, progressive ballet technique and cheer dance. Its preschool program covers toddlers and young beginners with Mommy and Me, creative movement, tots tap, acro and musical theatre classes, and year-round dance camps serve ages 4 to 6. Competitive students join the award-winning Troupe or the Dance Team, and the studio also runs YADI intensives, master workshops and an annual recital.
