About this studio
The Dance Corner is a dance and tumbling studio in Killingworth, Connecticut, now past its 30th season. It aims to give students a well-rounded education in all facets of dance, with classes emphasizing correct technique, fundamentals and dance vocabulary in an interactive group setting. Programming runs from Baby Dance With Me (14 months to 2 years, with a caregiver) and Twinkle Twos through Pre-Stars, Kinder-Stars and graded ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary/modern, Irish step and hip hop classes, alongside a full cheer and tumbling track from Tumble Starz to advanced tumbling. Adult classes and private lessons are offered, and there is a performance team and a National Honor Society for Dance Arts chapter. The studio is YPAD certified with sprung floors, observation windows, background-checked staff and an on-site dance shop, and runs summer classes and camps plus an annual recital.
