About this studio
Swing N Country is a family-owned social dance school run by John and Katie Watson, champion dancers and retired competitors who have taught in Monrovia, California for more than 30 years. Classes are held at 119 W. Palm Ave, one block west of Myrtle, and are run as eight-week series booked through the City of Monrovia, with recent terms covering East Coast Swing, Salsa, Country Line Dance and Country Two Step. The program centers on American social ballroom - foxtrot, rumba, cha-cha-cha, salsa, waltz and nightclub two-step - plus Western two-step and line dance and East and West Coast Swing. No partner is required and rotation is encouraged. The studio also arranges private and semi-private lessons and specializes in wedding first dances, wedding-party choreography and father-daughter dances.
