About this studio
Summit Dance School is a dance studio at 714 Lake Ave in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, with a stated mission to nurture strong, healthy dancers in mind and body through technical training and self-expression in a safe, inclusive environment. Its studio program takes dancers from a first class through advanced training: Discover Dance introduces ages 3-4 to music, movement and classroom skills, ballet, jazz and tap begin at age 5, contemporary and hip hop at 7, and pointe at 13 with instructor approval. A separate competition program and a summer intensive are also offered, and the school publishes a handbook, tuition rates and a schedule by grade for the 2026-2027 year. A dance education scholarship is available.
