Stone Dance Academy

Stone Oak Dance Academy in San Antonio, Texas, works under the motto "Teaching Excellence Through Dance" and provides training for students from age 2 through to adults and professionals, whether they are dancing purely for enjoyment or aiming to join one of its competition teams. All technique classes follow a graded syllabus, with students placed by the office rather than by age alone. The youngest levels are Creative Movement for ages 2 to 3, Pre-Dance for 3 to 4 covering basic ballet and tap, and Combo Dance for 5 to 6 mixing ballet, creative movement and tap, plus jazz, hip hop and tumbling combination options. Dance Samplers introduce tap, jazz and ballet to newcomers of any age. Ballet is taught through five graded levels using a blend of the French, Vaganova and Cecchetti methods, leading into pre-pointe and pointe, and the academy also teaches tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, acrobatics and tumbling, and a periodic Jumps and Turns class. Summer camps and workshops are offered.
