Dance classes in San Antonio, Texas
The Ballet Conservatory of South Texas, founded in 2005 and based at 5200 Broadway St. in San Antonio, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit two-tier organization combining a classical ballet academy with a pre-professional performance company. The school teaches students from age 3 through to adults, structured into Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Advanced Performance Divisions, with additional modern and jazz classes and a Youth & Adult recreational track for students who want to dance without the conservatory commitment. Company dancers take what they learn in the studio to the stage in a repertoire ranging from full-length classical ballets to new works by recognized choreographers. Summer programming includes a summer intensive, open summer classes and a kids' ballet camp. Its Discover Dance outreach program provides three tiers of access for underserved children in San Antonio.
