Steffi Nossen Dance Foundation

The Steffi Nossen School of Dance and Center for Movement is the teaching arm of the Steffi Nossen Dance Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit based on North Central Avenue in White Plains, New York. Its stated mission is to share dance with the whole Westchester community and to make dance available to all without boundaries or borders. The school teaches students from 18 months to 18 years, beginner through pre-professional, with parent-and-toddler classes, Young Movers, a core age-based program and a technique program covering creative movement, ballet, modern, jazz, tap and Afrobeats. An audition-only pre-professional track for grades 4 to 12 offers accelerated modern, ballet and contemporary jazz plus master classes, performance groups and the Steffi Nossen Dance Company. The organization also runs adaptive dance for people with cognitive and physical disabilities, open drop-in adult classes including Parkinson's dance, community outreach, summer camps and intensives, and offers financial aid.
