About this studio
Stacia's School of Dance was opened in 1987 by Stacia Woodlan and teaches children aged 3 to 18 in the Cedar Hill and DeSoto area of Texas. The school states that it offers a quality dance education in a family-friendly environment and seeks to instil a commitment to excellence, a strong work ethic and transferable life skills, with an emphasis on improvement and doing one's best rather than on comparison. Woodlan trained in ballet, tap and jazz in Houston, holds a BFA in dance performance and dance education and an MFA in dance from Southern Methodist University, taught for Texie Waterman and built the dance program at DeSoto High School, and has choreographed more than 15 musicals.
