Sonoma Conservatory of Dance is a non-profit ballet school at 561 Broadway Suite B in Sonoma, California, founded on a mission of combining training excellence with access and inclusion. Classes run from 18 months of age upward with no previous experience required, and the curriculum is built on the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus. The pathway begins with the Come Soar program (Dancing Ducklings through Graceful Swans, ages 18 months to 7), continues through Elementary I and II, Intermediate I and II where pointe work is introduced at age 11, and an Advanced level from age 15, with Progressing Ballet Technique classes and RAD vocational exams available. An all-level adult ballet class runs on a drop-in or class-card basis. The school stages twice-yearly productions, runs summer camps, and offers financial aid so that families can attend regardless of means.
For the second year in a row, Transcendence Theatre Company will offer a Mobile Unit Arts Curriculum program to participating community partners in Sonoma County.
